Horrible
I ordered these for my two kindergarten music classes as a farewell gift. I read the reviews, and decided that to be safe I would order extra in case there were a few broken kazoos. I opened my box tonight, and tested each kazoo. Out of 48, only 20 work. Over half are completely useless. Oriental Trading should not sell these anymore. Unfortunately, this purchase has made me question whether I will ever buy anything from Oriental Trading again.

Fails to make actual kazoo sounds
None of them work - at all. Useless junk.

Kazoos didn't work
I bought them for two classes and they didn't work. Kids were very disappointed. They were supposed to be foe a concert.

Kazoos are big disappointment.
I realize that for the price, they wouldn't be outstanding......but.....I did expect them to work. Very disappointed. Was hoping to have "fun" when we gather for Christmas, but doubt if anyone will be able to make their kazoo work.

Hi! We caught wind that our kazoos may not be kazooing for you. Here are a couple of tips: No. 1: Don’t blow, hum! No. 2: Say a word like “who” into the kazoo. If you start getting the hang of it and you’re up for a challenge, make the sound of a race car or moo like a cow. Before you know it, you’ll be making beautiful music! However, if you're still struggling to find the right sound, give our Customer Service Department a shout at 1-800-228-2269. We will set you up with a no-hassle refund or exchange!

Met Our Needs Well
I purchased these to use with a small chorus at a local retirement community. They wanted to add an "instrumental" number to their concert. They had a blast with these. We only used them the one time. I don't know if they'd hold up with regular use but for our purposes, they were perfect. Best of all, they were so reasonably priced, the chorus members got to keep them so they were happy. (I'm not sure about the retirement home staff, but the residents were happy nonetheless!) :)
