Kids will really enjoy decorating these for dad for Father's Day.
very cute, the kids at our preschool are going to have a lot of fun decorating them for their dads, & we'll be having "Donuts with Dad" & the kids will give them out then.

Cute Father's Day Gift!
I was looking for an easy, simple craft to do with my two-year-old students for their Father's Day project, and saw these in a Oriental Trading catalog I had gotten. I mentioned it and showed it to my assistant and she thought they were a good idea as well. Well, I ordered them and they arrived! I was excited to have them decorate the ties. And they had fun doing so! I would recommend using markers as opposed to crayons/colored pencils as markers show up much better on the "cardboard" material. My only complaint would be that the elastic ties weren't long enough to fit over some adults' heads. I ended up going to Jo-Ann Fabrics and getting some "stretchy string" to make them longer. Otherwise, they were great! Onto our next project- painting wooden stars (also from Oriental Trading) for Fourth of July!

Disappointing
We have made these for many years and they are always a huge hit with the Dad's on our Dad's day. This year however the elastic is way too short to fit over any Dad's head. Very disappointing.

Is the elastic big enough to fit on big heads?

  • BEST ANSWER: The elastic strap which goes around the neck is 34" long. You may only attach one side of it and then when you are ready to wear it, attached the other side.

  • BEST ANSWER: This item has a 12" elastic strap. It does not fit over the head but would wrap around the neck.

I saw a review were the string is to short for dad to wear. Has the company fixed this yet. Would really like to purchase this for Father's Day got the children.
