Remember the First Thanksgiving!
I used this craft to teach my grandson's class about the First Thanksgiving. The bonnet was very cleverly designed, but very difficult for the second grade class to assemble by their own. The winged clasp was too short for the girls to use and some were even missing from the kit. The teacher and I had to help each individual girl to make hers. However, they loved the finished product and the teacher took a class picture to post on the school website.

Making pilgrim bonnets that actually stay on my preschoolers heads has always been a challenge so when I saw this this year I was so excited. Too difficult for them to make but they look great. My only complaint is that the brad provided is just too short and thin. I will be going to an office supply to buy bigger brads. I will update next week after I see if the hats actually say on their little heads.
