Good paints for beginners, some color issues
I teach kids' art classes and watercolor is my favorite medium! I was happy to find these because they're so easy to use and clean up. The paints have nice coverage and go on smooth and not at all chalky like some of the cheaper ones do. These are a good one-use size also. Each paint "cup" is smaller than say, Crayola's watercolor sets, but they are perfect for one use and because of the price, I don't feel bad throwing them away after each use. The kids love that they get a brand new set each time we paint (rather than someone else's leftover mixed colors). I only have a couple of issues: I think each time I've ordered these, the colors are a little different than the previous time - I don't know if they just change their formula often or if its bad quality control, but I can't count on the colors being the same as they were the time before. Especially the blue and brown. Also, the pink is pretty worthless. Its ugly and just using watered-down red makes a much prettier pink anyway. I really wish there was a purple instead of the pink, because its MUCH harder to mix this blue and red to get purple (and its not a good purple that you come out with) than it is to just water down the red to get pink. Purple would make SO much more sense! I'm really hoping maybe they'll change it! I've also had some of the colors pop out of the tray, but we just put them back in and again, since we only use them once (most of the time) its not a big deal for our purposes, and hardly ever happens.

These should be labeled as single use! After one time painting the colors either popped out and broke into pieces or were gone. Not worth it!
