I purchased this for VBS Camp of 60 kids ages 5-11. I’ve made string art before and thought this would be wonderful. It was more of a pain than fun and kids were frustrated with it. The string was awful and should really come packaged around a small cardboard roll or something so it didn’t take 5 min each kids to untangle and pray they don’t tangle again in the process of stringing the pegs. It became a 2 day project and our craft station was approximately 20 min of working time. The younger kids of course needed help and could quite grasp the idea to hold onto the tail of the string while wrapping around the pegs. Even our older kids struggled some. I was happy with the cross thickness and simplicity of the pegs but the string just ruined the whole thing and a lot of kids went home with unfinished projects or a very messy looking one. It was just impossible to be one on one to help without doing it ourselves. Fun concept but just not good for under 12 I think. Pretty disappointed. Pricing was great for the project though. I’ll be donating our left overs to our teen ministry I think.

great craft for the price
I did this craft for a large group. It took us about 40 minutes, give or take. Maybe less if you are working more 1 on 1. The kids loved it.

Great VBS craft
I purchased this to use as one of the crafts in the adult class at our church's VBS. It went very well, and everyone's turned out beautifully. It filled up our craft time (about 25 minutes). Some of the adults chose to follow the instructions regarding the order to wrap the string around the pegs, while others did their own thing and wrapped the pegs in a different order, resulting in different designs. Regardless, they were all beautiful.

Great craft!
I will be using this cross string art for Easter at my church. I purchased enough for all of the Kinder through 5th grade classes. To make sure I had an idea as to how easy/challenging the craft might be, I asked the mom of a 2nd grader to have her daughter work on it. The girl took 5 minutes to put the pegs in and about 20 minutes to string the cross "her own way" and not according to the instructions. The main challenge is to make sure the kids think about whether the string will be within the cross when they wrap the string between two pegs.

Kids enjoyed!
The children enjoyed these! I used these for third grade and up. The most difficult part was securing the strings and tying the knots. The children do need adult assistance with this. Hot glue was used to create a hanger out of the string , again an adult task

Favorite Craft
We just finished a day camp for 3rd-5th grade. We had a different craft every day. The string art was their favorite. It was something different, colorful and well constructed. They had trouble with the sample design but loved creating their own. They were all different and unique!

Great Craft
I ordered these for our church VBS and the kids loved them! I was pleasantly surprised at how big the crosses are too. My younger kids (3-6) had some trouble stringing the string around the pegs so they needed a lot of help. However my older kids got the hang of it quickly. Only con is, I found that the string that came with the kit got tangled very easily, resulting in frustration trying to untangle knots.

Good choice
Used for the older children (grades 3-6) for a VBS craft. They loved it and came up with some very unique patterns.

VBS-pretty good product for the price.
I bought this for VBS for age group 5-10. The older children enjoyed making their own patterns and the little ones just did there own thing. It was too hard for them to follow any kind of pattern but they still liked the outcome.
My only con: the string provided was two pieces tied together with a big knot. when some of the younger children came to that part in the string they tried pulling hard on it (they thought it was just tangled ) and ended up pulling out the push pins.
