Just what the doctor ordered !!!
Had been looking for this item for awhile and I finally found it at Oriental Trading. We use them on a Christmas tree to memorialize Parkinson's patients who have passed and their families love it !!!

A little glue and easy!
This is my first time using these. I take pictures of the kids at church, put photo in a photo ornament from Oriental Trading and kids take them to their trees after the Christmas play. Get a 2 1/2 inch hole punch. This is the easiest way I found. Use gel glue to put a drop on top and bottom of photo. Place in ball. I actually put in a little snow glitter confetti. The top of ball does keep the ball together but I did not want to take a chance of it coming apart and sending glitter all over church or home. Love these plan on ordering more. Preacher's wife saw them and has already ordered them for her 2nd grade class in elementary school.

Loved these large clear DIY ornaments
For the price these are so great and exactly what I needed. They open in half making them super easy to fill and you can cut a picture to fit inside. The top goes on like a cap securing them when closed. The only issue was it came with no template to use for picture insert and I needed to make my own. Other than that they are awesome and worked perfectly for my Daisy Girl Scout keepsake ornament.

Beware of Description
Disappointed that I didn't read the reviews prior to purchasing these. Since they are described as "Photo" ornaments, I assumed (and it appears in photos) that there is some type of frame in the center for photo. There is not. I also assumed that would be the case since these are also priced higher than other clear ornaments of the same size. As other people stated however, there is no place for a photo specifically. yes, you can insert one, but you can do the same with a less expensive ornament.

Are they weatherproof?? Would they withstand snow and rain on an outdoor tree?

  • BEST ANSWER: hello Rebecca, depends on how you decorate them and what with. They would stand up to a certain amount but if snow storms and rain coming through you may be best to bring them inside.

  • BEST ANSWER: Set up a template for 2.625 inch circles. 3 total per row (l to r) With a total of 4 of the rows down the page. You would get 16 pictures out of one eight and a half by 11 inch sheet of overhead transparency. Overhead transparency film is a clear plastic that can be printed with color using a laser printer. Laser Printers use wax toner not Liquid Ink, so the images will not smudge and being printed on transparency film The printed image is viewable from either side. I worked at a print shop

I am printing photos so that I can cut to the size, but I am not sure is wallet size would work or should I print like a 4x4, 5x5, 4x6.
