The image shows the personalization as being a gold stamp. These came to us and just the letters stamped into the wood and no gold so you just see the wood. It’s awful. Unfortunately, we have to use them because there was not enough time for a return and reorder.

Print poor quality
Some pencils had printing very nice and you could read it. Others were poorly printed and blurry. We were disappointed but had to use them as event was in a few days.

Poor quality embossing
The examples on the web site show clear gold embossing However, the pencils I received were poorly embossed with an indistinct color of embossing.

Inconsistent, unclear printing
The personalized printing was very poor quality. The pencils were inconsistent and the printing unclear, some had been double-printed. You get what you pay for and these were cheap and poorly done.

Second order not so good
The first time we ordered custom pencils they were great! So, I ordered them again, but this second order was a disappointment. The printing is blurry and some of the letters are not lined up at the bottom. They look sloppy. I am not happy, but I need them NOW so I am stuck using them.

I loved my pencils, but alot of them was hard to read.
I loved my pencils. I don't like to complain. But a lot of them you couldn't read.

not thrilled
I ordered these pencils with my preschool name on it as birthday gifts for my students. The imprinting is not very clear, and looks sloppy. I will not be using 50% of them since they do not reflect quality and the others are hard to read.

Personalization is meh
I have ordered this product before and the personalization was beautiful and crisp.
This last order was mediocre. The personalization was spotty and the ink seems to bleed.
Oh well.

Great customer service
My first impression was not a good one. The imprint on the pencils I ordered was smudged on all of the pencils. When I contacted OTC, they were more than happy to repair the damage by very quickly sending another order, which was very nicely imprinted. I received the 2nd batch of pencils in just a couple days.

Poor Personalization
Vibrant neon colors, however, the personalization is so light you can hardly see/read it. I purchased these for my kindergartener, so it was important for her to be able to see her name. I would suggest not offering personalization, unless it's possible to have it done darker, so it's visible.
