Maximize a wedding budget with economical invitation enhancing DIY ideas, There are so many ways to personalize your wedding invites and stay on budget.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Newly engaged couples who have started putting together ideas for the perfect wedding day are often seeking budget wedding ideas to maximize their wedding dollars. Professionally designed and printed custom invitations can carry a hefty price tag; but, luckily it's easy to achieve a custom look without breaking the bank! We've rounded up some creative and affordable ways to give your wedding invitations the wow factor, while keeping your budget in mind.
1. Add a Pop of Color The wedding invitation sets the stage for the fun to come; what better way to share a little celebrating from the very start than with a pop of confetti? This
red and
pink tissue paper confetti is affordable and packs a punch when opening a pretty black and white
Laurel Leaf patterned wedding invitation.
2. Signed, Sealed, Delivered An elegant and impressive way to add to your wedding invites is with a pretty wax seal. These are simple to create using a hot glue gun and
gold wax sticks, then press with a
Fleur de Lis stamper. Voila, instant glamour! Try this on escort cards and favor tags for a cohesive look.

3.
Get Crafty With a Printer Print your own invitations, with just a little bit of savvy using a computer, and a home printer using
white paper stock. This
paper trimmer makes short work of getting a perfectly straight edge.

4. Got You Covered A gatefold cover is a fabulous way to add color to your invitations, and doubles as a ready made envelope. This one was made from a sheet of
12" x 12" cardstock,
trimmed and folded to resemble an envelope. The invitation was simply mounted inside with a tape runner. You could also add an interior envelope for RSVP cards and maps.
5. Sparkle and Shine With their soft watercolor pattern, these
Garden Party invitations are perfectly pretty for a wedding, and can be customized with all your personal details.
Gold doilies and a white burlap ribbon wrap add an even more beautiful look that will be a charming surprise when your guests open their invites!
6. Chalk It Up to Creativity Add a fun look to your outer envelopes with
chalkboard washi tape and a
chalk pen, or, even better yet, a
metallic pen. Here we've used silver. It stands out nicely in contrast to the dark tape. Use this technique to add a fun note to your guests, or as shown here, to remind them to RSVP.

7. Kick It Up With Color The technique in step five can also be achieved with other washi tapes! Here, we've used
neon pink washi with
gold chalk marker for a completely different look that's pure fun! Try coming up with your own unique combination.
8. All That Glitters Plain invitations get seriously glam with the addition of gold accents. With a little
mod podge, some sheets of
gold leaf and a small paintbrush, you can add sparkle and shine to any invite for expensive looking invitations that cost pennies to create. (We'll never tell!)

With all the money you'll save adding these affordable elements to your wedding invitations, you can splurge on the things that really matter, without sacrificing the personalized detail that makes your wedding uniquely yours.
