We're wild over this Animal Print Embroidery Hoop Art, and we hope you will be, too! We created this adorable art piece for our Boho Safari Baby Shower, then used it as a centerpiece for our table. It was assembled using some unexpected items like a wooden snowman, a napkin ring, and a bandanna, but you'd never know! The end result is just so pretty! Take a peek below for the step-by-step details on how to make your own.

To begin, situate the hat end of a DIY Unfinished Wood Snowman into the hole of a Wooden Napkin Ring. Play around with the placement until you have it arranged so there's little to no gap between the two. Once you have the placement decided, remove the snowman and add a thin layer of hot glue to the inside rim of the napkin ring. Add the snowman on top, holding in place until secure. Be sure to clean off any excess glue. This will serve as the base for your art piece.

Once your base is assembled, prepare a well-ventilated area where you can stain the wood. Gather your wood stain (for your reference we used Minwax Wood Finish in "Jacobean"), a Sponge Brush, a disposable rag, the wooden base that you've built, and the outer hoop of a Small Embroidery Hoop. Set the inner hoop aside. Use the sponge brush to apply the stain to your pieces, then immediately wipe with a disposable rag. You do not need to stain the inside rim of the hoop, but you do need to stain the outside rim and sides. Allow to dry.

Place the inner hoop on your work space. Lay an ironed Animal Print Bandanna, print side up, on top of the hoop. Using an outer hoop from another hoop set, push the outer hoop over the fabric so that it is nice and snug over the inner hoop. Make sure the hoop is fully covered with fabric. Undo, add hot glue to the outer rim of the inner hoop, and push the outer hoop back down over the fabric to secure. Once the glue is dry, remove the outer hoop. Use scissors to trim the excess fabric along the rim.

Repeat Step 3 above on the opposite side of the hoop so that the hoop has fabric on both sides. Once both sides are covered and the fabric is trimmed, place the dry, stained outer hoop over the fabric-covered inner hoop.

Secure an unfinished wooden bead between the metal "arms" of the hoop using hot glue.

Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the base of the bead and secure it to the wooden base that you built. Hold it in place until it's secure and holds on its own. Be sure that the hoop stands up straight and isn't tilted.

Hot glue an end of jute twine to the base of the bead and wind the jute around the entire metal arm/bead area until it is fully covered and the entire art piece is secure. Use scissors to cut the jute, then secure that loose end with hot glue.

Secure a new end of jute to the base of the hoop with hot glue, trying to tuck it under the existing jute. Then, using hot glue and working your way around the hoop, secure the twine around the hoop to fill in the gap between the fabric and the wood, giving the piece a clean finish. When you've gone all around the circle, snip the end and hot glue it into place. Repeat on the other side.

Download and cut out the "Welcome Wild One" Banner from the Boho Safari Baby Shower Printable Collection. Use double-sided tape or hot glue to attach the banner to the hoop.

Display in your party area and enjoy! You can make several of these and use them as table centerpieces, or you can use one as a decor piece for your party area. They look great atop Bamboo Placemats with a White Faux Peony bloom beside them!
