Create an inviting bulletin board perfect for fall. We made this board using a making ten apple craft that students made during our Ways to Make Ten with Apples Lesson!
I wanted this board to feel like it was really outside! In order to achieve this, I covered the bulletin board with Fadeless Clouds & Sky Art Paper. To add contrast and dimension to the blue, I layered a Double-Sided Solid & Polka Dot Bulletin Board Borders - White with Black & White Striped Bulletin Board Board.
Next, I added the tree from the Classroom Giant Tree With Seasonal Cutouts along with some of the green leaves. It was a little larger than my board, but I felt it looked great hanging off a bit. To give the tree more dimension I added lime green tissue balls. The tissue balls go onto the board very easily with a few staples.
Once I had the tree up, I really felt like it was floating in the air. I knew it needed some grass, but I honestly didn't want to take the time to cut grass out of butcher paper! To achieve grass quickly I add two different colors of green Tissue Paper Pom-Pom Decorations. This was a quick and easy way to add more color too!
The last step was to get the title up. I like to use washi tape while I am placing the letters on the board. This allows me to easily move anything as needed. I wanted the bulletin board letters to match the border, so I decided to use Black Bulletin Board Letters.
The last thing I did for the board was to attach the Making 10 with Apples craft using a stapler. You can read all about this lesson and how students made these here. The red apples really add an extra "pop" to this board!
I absolutely love how this board turned out! It would be a great fall bulletin board, but could also be transformed for each season. I already have plans to keep it up in my classroom all year long!
