Begin by cutting strips of pink, yellow, orange, green, blue and purple paper streamers into small squares to create confetti. Next, working in small sections, use a foam brush from the paintbrush value pack to apply a thin coat of Mod Podge® to one side of a clear acrylic sign. Once the Mod Podge® has been applied, sprinkle the confetti mix on top to cover. Repeat until the entire acrylic sign is covered in confetti.

To create a balloon dog, begin by inflating an animal modeling balloon using a hand-held balloon pump to about two to three inches from the end. Next, twist three sections, with the first about two inches in length to form the muzzle of the dog. The remaining two twists should be about one inch each and will create the dog's ears. Note: I used a white balloon for my centerpiece, but used a green balloon to better show the steps to create the balloon dog.

Next, you'll need to lock the three sections together to form the dog's head. Bend the muzzle against the main body of the balloon and twist the muzzle against the base of the third section to lock them all in place.

To form the dog's neck and legs, repeat the same steps above to form the head. Twist three sections, each about three-inches in length, and then twist together to lock them into place.

To form the dog's back legs and tail, repeat the steps used to form the front legs. Twist another three sections each about three-inches in length, then bend and twist the pieces to lock them together. Now you have a balloon dog!

Lay your newly formed balloon dog on a surface you don't mind getting paint on like a white plastic tablecloth. Add small amounts of various paint colors to paper cups, along with a few drops of water to thin the paint a bit to ease the paint off the brush. Dip the paintbrush into the various colors of paint and then tap the brush to release the paint onto the balloon dog. Once you're satisfied with the amount of paint on the balloon, set aside to dry.
