Tweet tweet goes the little birdy! We just love how our paper plate blue bird turned out and it was so easy to make. All you need are some white paper plates, paint, glue and colorful craft feathers to get started. The girls added these white foam hearts for the bird's wings which look super cute! I couldn't do without the rainbow feathers, they just added a bit of spunk the girls and I were totally diggin'.
Paint the bottom part of the white paper plate with turquoise acrylic paint.
Cut the paper plate in half with scissors. Note that one plate makes two birds!
Fold an orange piece of construction paper in half and cut a small triangle from the fold to create the bird's beak. Glue on a googly eye.
Add wings by gluing on a white foam heart. Attach colorful feathers to the tail of bird with hot glue.
Cut two block letter Y's from the orange craft foam and turn upside down, glue onto the back of the blue bird for its legs.
