A centerpiece sets the tone for your tablescape, especially if it's a seasonal table. Turn a simple egg carton into a fun Easter table centerpiece. This fresh, white carton is filled with color blocked eggs that spell out "Happy Easter" to create the perfect centerpiece. Follow these simple steps to create your own centerpiece that guests are sure to love.
First, remove the egg carton lid from the Color Your Own Resurrection Story Egg Set. You could also just use the DIY Easter Eggs with Carton which does not have a lid. I used the carton with a lid since I preferred the longer egg separators and higher sides of this carton.
Next, paint the carton white using Crayola Washable Acrylic Paint.
When the carton is dry fill the carton with Green Easter Grass. Use scissors to trim the grass to fit.
The top row of the carton will be filled with eggs that spell out HAPPY, which is 5 letters long. Fill the 6th egg space with a Metallic Golden Easter Egg.
Next, cut the individual letters to spell out "HAPPY EASTER" from the Easter Egg Decal set.
Press and rub each letter onto a DIY egg to spell out "HAPPY EASTER". Place the letters on the top 2 thirds of each egg to allow room for color blocking.
On the bottom third of the egg use a black sharpie to color the bottom of the egg black.
Place the finished eggs into the carton.
Finally, place the completed egg carton centerpiece on your table and wish your guests a Happy Easter!
