Bring a hint of rustic charm to your upcoming nuptials with this DIY Wedding Chalkboard! We love that this project is simple, inexpensive and can be customized to coordinate with your event's colors! Just add a quick coat of paint and a few gorgeous florals and your DIY Chalkboard will be ready to admire!
Begin by taping off the edges of the Chalkboard Easel so as not to get any of the Chalk Paint on the natural, wood trim. Next, mix a bit of Grotto Chalk Paint with a small dollop of White Adirondack Chalk Paint to achieve the vintage chalkboard color needed for this project. Paint the Chalkboard portion of the Easel until fully covered. Allow to dry.
Place the FolkArt® Project Studio™ Painting Wedding Stencil on the Easel and adhere with a few pieces of tape to keep it from sliding. Use a Pencil to lightly trace the Stencil wording and shapes onto the Chalkboard.
Use a White Marcy Uchida® Fine Point Bistro Chalk Marker to trace over the pencil markings made from the Stencil .
Use the Chalk Marker to fill in the Stencil wording. Use a dry paper towel to smudge the chalk.
Hot Glue a mix of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, Faux Dogwood Garland, Blush and Pink Peonies, White Peonies, Dusty Miller and White Roses to the upper left corner of the Chalkboard Easel and then display at your Blush, Greenery and Gold Wedding!
