Boxwood hedge walls and backdrops are an excellent way to bring the look of nature and the outdoors into your wedding decorations. The fresh, vibrant greenery is reminiscent of a secret garden with high walls, and the condensed, leafy look is the perfect blank canvas for many different wedding styles.
Use the Sharpie marker to make two dots on the front of your cardboard. This will be a guide for where the wire is looped through. Repeat this every six inches vertically, and every three inches horizontally, as shown. It’s a good idea at this point to also paint or cover the board with green paper or paint, to give the greenery backdrop a solid background.
Use scissors to poke holes into the guide, and attach your first garland using wire. Start at the top left of the cardboard and work your way down.
Repeat this process, wiring the garland up and down the cardboard until you run out of length. One piece of garland will cover approximately Five rows, as shown.
Continue wiring the garland, until the entire surface is covered. Use extra pieces of greenery and small portions that have fallen off to fill in any sparse areas. The finished boxwood greenery backdrop is freestanding, and can be used vertically or horizontally. Place several together for a stunning look!
