It’s always fun to welcome your guests to a party with a creative, thematic DIY project and this DIY Balloon Wreath was the perfect way to greet the little cubs attending our Eric Carle Brown Bear Birthday Party! With just a few colorful supplies you’ll be on your way to creating your very own Brown Bear-inspired decor!
Begin by taking your red ribbon and wrapping it around the Large Styrofoam Wreath. Adhere each end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath with a dot of Hot Glue. This will give your wreath a more finished look once the balloons are attached!
Once the wreath is covered in ribbon, take 2 different colored Round Latex Balloons and over lap the necks of the balloons. Next, push a greenery pin upwards through the overlapped balloons.
Turn the pin over and push the pin into the wreath.
Continue this process until your wreath is fully covered in balloons except for a small section where you will attach the ribbon to hang your wreath! We used approximately 100-125 Round Latex Balloons. Make sure the balloons are overlapping one another on the wreath so barely any ribbon is showing.
Hot Glue the Brown Bear 3-D Centerpiece to the bottom section of the wreath.
Loop a piece of red ribbon at the top of your wreath for hanging.
