We are excited to share a few of our DIY party decoration ideas and activities for the party. It is always a fun idea to have a statement piece for your décor. We used different size and color craft buttons to create a poster size number 6 for the decoration backdrop. You could even use it as a photo backdrop too! Add coordinating paper pinwheels to create a bright and cheery party décor statement piece.
Draw your number design on the poster board. You can draw the number and then outline it to create the block letter look.
Use quick dry craft glue or a glue gun to adhere the buttons to the foam core board. You can overlap the buttons for more depth and texture too. Let completely dry before hanging on the wall.
Add paper pinwheels in coordinating colors to give the button number backdrop a vibrant pop that will make it a standout decoration at the party!
We loved the pinks, blues and yellows of the craft buttons and wanted to keep that our theme. One of our go-to party decor items that makes such a big impact are paper and tissue paper fans or pinwheels. We used the flamingo party pack of hanging fans and tissue paper fans in yellow. This made our button number backdrop look amazing! We added some pink candy (like this pretty in pink rock candy, pink swirl lollipops and chocolates). Add some yellow plates and napkins and some festive cupcakes and you are ready for a party!
