Select magnetic letters to spell out "Boy or Girl." Spray paint the letters outside or in a well-ventilated area with two coats of gold paint, allowing the first coat to dry before applying the second. Dry completely.

Use a shredder or scissors to cut shades of pink and blue card stock into small confetti pieces. Fill one side of the clear ornament discs with iridescent shred and card stock confetti. Top with a magnetic letter, then secure the second piece of the ornament disc into place. Repeat until all letters are used.

Divide the glitter mosaic squares equally among six empty clear disc ornaments. Secure the ornament pieces together. Hold the ornaments upright so that the mosaic squares settle to the bottom, then use gold glitter tape to create a border around the ornaments where the discs stop. Create tabs on the ornaments by folding small strips of turquoise ribbon in half, then hot gluing to the tab on top of the ornament. You'll use these tabs to string the ornaments when they're ready to hang. Tie bows with pink ribbon and secure them to the bottom of the tabs.

Cut small strands of gold baker's twine (about four inches each) and thread them through the tabs on the letter ornaments and the ribbon tabs you created on the mosaic-tile-filled ornaments. Arrange the ornaments to spell out "GIRL OR BOY," including a mosaic ornament before and after "GIRL" and "BOY." The pattern should be: Mosaic ornament, GIRL, mosaic ornament, OR, mosaic ornament, BOY, mosaic ornament.

With the twine of spool to your left, unwind about 12 to 18 inches of baker's twine. Starting at the 12 to 18 inch mark, begin tying the ornaments to the twine. Cut the twine. Hot glue white pom-poms to mimic snowballs onto the knot of each ornament. Combine with card stock text and J, O, and Y marquee letters for a super cute, unique backdrop!
