Our Cloud On a Stick recipe is a simple but clever way to incorporate charm and a sweet treat into a party with a travel or airplane theme. These are so simple to make and require no cooking; just some craft supplies and cotton candy!
Separate the red ribbons from the wooden wands. You can save the ribbons for a future crafting project.
Remove the cotton candy from the packaging and place on a clean work surface, free from moisture. One package will make two clouds, so separate the package contents into two equal portions. Wearing food safe plastic gloves, gently press and pull the cotton candy into a cloud shape. When you’re done with this step, your cotton candy should resemble the image seen here.
Carefully insert one wooden dowel vertically into the center of your cloud from the bottom. Take care not to push it straight through. You want it to balance on the stick, similar to a lollipop.
Trim the cellophane bags to fit the favor, then slip the bag over the cotton candy on the stick. With the red sheer ribbon, tie a knot tightly below the cotton candy to seal the bag and keep the cotton candy fresh. Trim ends with scissors. This treat is sensitive to temperature and moisture, so keep in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to serve them.
