Paper flowers are still all the rage in the party world and I knew I couldn't style a Daisy Party without them. I wanted a whimsical, but cheery feel for my party so I decided to make my Daisy Paper Flowers out of coffee filters. They ended up being perfect for my table! They helped the party look bright and full and were such a great accent to the Daisy Cake! If you are interested in creating these Coffee Filter Daisy Flowers check out this tutorial.
Take a stack of 12 coffee filters and fold them in half.
Fold in half again.
Take your scissors and cut the top right corner off, making a petal-like shape. See picture for visual.
Repeat on the other side. Your filters should look like a petal or leaf.
Unfold the filters and separate them.
Stagger the layers to resemble a flower.
Take your yellow lampwork headpins and stick through the center of your flower.
Place your floral stem wire next to the yellow lampwork headpins underneath the flower.
Wrap the green washi tape around both the Yellow Lampwork Headpins and the Floral Stem Wire to adhere the stem to the flower/headpins. Viola! You should have a gorgeous Coffee Filter Paper Flower!
