Colorful little houses decked out with lawn flamingos, colorful doors, and greenery all around. These DIY Mini Spring Houses are all ready for spring time. Display them on your mantel or on a shelf with flowers, eggs, and bunnies for an easy Easter decorating idea too. Not only will they brighten your decor, but you will have fun making them too!
Begin by painting the paper mache houses. Go with all white, or bright colors, but either way, don't forget the roof!
Once the first coat of paint is dry, add a second coat if needed. Then let the paint dry.
Next, it is time to create your lawn, bushes, and lawn decor. For the flamingos, draw and cut out mini flamingo bodies from pink foam sheets and black legs from black foam sheets. For the bushes and grass, use clippings from the boxwood garland.
Cut more foam sheets into mini doors for your house. Use hot glue to attach the details to the door and then to attach the door to the house.
Add any other items you like such as mini drink umbrellas, fairy garden pieces, or flowers to finish out the houses.
