Kids love the texture of sand and will love adding it to their favorite crafts. Our backyard is the perfect place for my kids to make these fun crafts. Choose from five adorable kids' craft ideas: Mini Sand Bottles, Sand Art, DIY Sand Globes, Aquarium Paper Plate, or DIY Craft Roll Sand Castles.
Create mini sand bottles by filling each Corked Glass Bottle with Colorful Craft Sand. Use a mini funnel to fill the jar with sand. Braid and weave bright Embroidery Floss colors into a colorful mini rope. Tie a piece of your rope around the top of each jar. For a fun twist, add a secret message in the sand jar before filling with sand!
Create this adorable traceable sand art! Start by printing out the free Printable Sand Art Designs. Using 4 oz. Elmer's Glue bottles, trace the sand castle and seashells. Add different colors of Colorful Craft Sand. Allow drying time. Try using the glue and sand to write your name or other words and pictures.
Create mini sand snow globes for a fun summer or beach display. Fill Round Favor Jars about half way with Colorful Craft Sand then add in miniature Growing Sea Life Characters. That's it!
Kids will love creating this pretty paper plate aquarium. Begin by applying glue on the bottom half of the Big Blue Oval Plate. Cover your plate with various colors of Colorful Craft Sand. Add in some green sand seaweed and white sand coral too! To finish up the aquarium, add Bright Sea Life Characters with glue and Mini Bright Seashells.
This craft roll sand castle makes for such a fun kids' craft! Use brown Craft Rolls to create a sand castle. Paint each craft roll with glue and roll it in Colorful Craft Sand to cover the castle and give it texture. Glue the sides of the craft rolls together as shown. Add paper flags at the top with toothpicks. Adhere the sand castle to a Light Blue Paper Dinner Plate and sprinkle on some White Sand. Add some small Colored Clamrose Seas Shells and other Assorted Seashells to complete the craft!
