Planning a beach wedding doesn't mean you have to use bold turquoise and coral shades. For this wedding inspiration we used copper, navy, and cream to create a soft and feminine coastal wedding. Navy and cream are the perfect colors to use at the beach as they play in harmony with the colors of the sand and sea. While copper adds a modern touch to the decor and elevates your wedding to something special. Read on below to learn how we created this coastal copper, navy, and cream wedding including details on our unique DIY Capiz Shell Place Cards and DIY Shell Candles!
To create this coastal copper, navy, and cream wedding I chose table elements that complimented the theme. I draped my table in navy gossamer fabric and placed a copper dinner plate and navy dessert plate at each place setting. The place settings were finished with white scalloped chargers that add the perfect bright pop. To give my tablescape a nautical feel I wrapped natural cording around square flower boxes. Filled with hydrangeas, these flower boxes add a lighter, feminine look to the tablescape.
I placed DIY sea shell candles throughout the center of the table and also included a candle at each place setting as a wedding favor. These DIY candles add a warm glow to evening wedding receptions and can also serve as great coastal themed wedding favors. I used clear gift boxes and nautical blue and white striped ribbon for my favor boxes.
Every wedding needs a signature cocktail so I created Tequila Moscow Mules for this beach bash. Served in copper mugs this cocktail is ideal for a beach setting and fits right in with our copper and navy theme.
To continue the coastal theme I created DIY Capiz Shell Place Cards for each guest. These DIY place cards were displayed in a scalloped tray filled with sand and included on my cake table so guests could easily grab them.
You can't host a coastal wedding without including some fun nautical knots. So to complete this coastal copper, navy, and cream wedding I used natural cording to tie lovers knots around each napkin.
I hope you get inspired for your wedding with my easily styled and DIY-ed beach wedding ideas.
