Create a beautiful layered garland that's the perfect home decor and activity for Valentine's Day. Download the Count the Ways I Love You Heart Template here and print onto cardstock in the color of your choice. Use scissors to cut out the hearts.
Download the Free Count the Ways I Love You Printable here and print on white cardstock. Use scissors to cut out the banner piece.
To make the felt ball garland, string the felt balls together using a needle and baker's twine.
To make the yarn pom-pom garland gather yarn, a medium size Pom-Pom Maker, scissors, baker's twine, and a needle.
Position both pieces of the medium size Pom-Pom Maker together as shown.
Use any color of yarn that you would like and start wrapping around one side of the Pom-Pom Maker loosely.
Continue wrapping from right to left and then left to right until you fill up the inner curve of the Pom-Pom Maker.
Once you've filled up the inner curve, cut off the yarn leaving a small piece hanging. Repeat the same process on the other side. Once you finish, cut off the yarn.
Close the Pom-Pom Maker and push the white clips to secure the circle position.
Use scissors to cut the yarn as shown. Repeat the same process on the other side.
Cut a piece of yarn about 12" long to tie around the pieces.
Insert the yarn between the two pieces of the Pom-Pom Maker and tie. Repeat four times to secure the pom pom.
Unlock the white clips and carefully remove the pieces of the Pom-Pom Maker.
Use scissors to trim the excess yarn to make a round pom pom.
Repeat to make as many pom-poms as you'd like. Once you have made all of your pom-poms, use baker's twine and a needle to string them together.
Use mini clothespins to secure the hearts and Let Me Count the Ways I Love You printable to a piece of baker's twine.
Layer and hang up the three garlands in your home. Throughout the month, invite your family to add hearts to the banner. On the hearts you can write or draw pictures of the ways that you love each other.
