We’re making one-of-a-kind instruments for Music Makers Week of Camp Fun! Not only are these instruments fun to play, they are fun to decorate as well! Make a colorful band with the help of these DIY rhythm boards and jingle sticks. Customize them with craft paint, stickers, rhinestones, washi tape, or whatever craft supplies you have on hand! Paint the rhythm boards and you can paint these fun DIY maracas too with a coat of acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. Let dry. You can also leave the instruments natural colored as well, or try decorating them with paint markers.
Decorate your rhythm boards with stickers like these fun geometric foam shapes, rhinestones, letter stickers, or washi tape. Just make sure not to cover the center of the rhythm board – that’s where all the fun sound comes from!
Try out a variety of different ways to decorate and personalize your instruments. Once you’re done, have a jam session to try them out!
