Bring a little nature to your Thanksgiving table setting with this fun DIY Acorn Felt Placemat. This fun DIY craft can also be personalized and double as place cards for your Thanksgiving kids' table.
Download the free acorn template and use a white pencil to trace it onto a piece of brown felt. Use a dark piece for the bottom of the acorn and a lighter piece for the top.
Use scissors to cut out each piece of the acorn.
Use jute twine to create a diamond crisscross pattern on the top part of the acorn. Use a small dab of hot glue or Tacky Glue to secure it in place.
Use a hot glue gun to glue all of the pieces together. Optional: You can make the placemat double-sided by gluing a larger piece of felt to the back of the acorn and trim off any excess.
Attach a Thanksgiving Leaf Place Card to the top of the acorn stem and write each kid's name on the leaf with a marker.
Layer the DIY Acorn Placemat on top of a piece of blue American Crafts Scrapbook Paper. Add the Thanksgiving Friends Shaped Paper Dinner Plates, Metallic Gold Foil Paper Cups, and Fall Leaf Beverage Napkins to each place setting to complete the look!
