One of our favorite fall activities to do each year is to head out to the local orchard and do some apple picking! It’s such a great way to welcome the changing season. This DIY Apple Sign is perfect for any upcoming apple picking festivities or even as a colorful piece of fall decor. With a few supplies and little time, you can create this fun decorative sign!
Start your DIY Slat Sign by generously coating the sign in White Tempera Paint using a foam brush from the PLAID Paintbrush Super Value Pack.
Once the white paint is fully dry, peel off 3 sticky notes from the Apple Shaped Sticky Notes pad. Using a few dots of hot glue, adhere the sticky notes to the top of your sign.
Select your ideal stencil front from the Awesome Alphabet Stencil pack. Gather a very small amount of Red Tempera Paint onto your foam brush.
Gently begin to dab the paint on the stencil. Using long strokes will cause the paint to bleed.
Repeat step four until you have stenciled out the phrase “FRESH APPLES”. With a very dry brush, gently sweep across the sign creating light red brush strokes.
Add 3 more Apple Shaped Sticky Notes to the bottom of your sign and enjoy as a fun piece of fall decor at a themed party or at an Apple Picking Fall Playdate!
