Buzz, buzz! These DIY Buzzing Bee Paper Lanterns were the perfect decorations at my What Will It BEE? Gender Reveal Party. They're super simple but have big impact. All you need is lanterns, little bees, some patience and a touch of hot glue gun!
Assemble the 12-inch paper lanterns and place them on bowls in your work space. (This will keep them from rolling around as you are working.)
Using a hot glue gun, apply a generous amount of hot glue to the front or the back of a bumble bee finger puppet. Attach the bee to the paper lantern and hold in place for at least one minute, allowing the glue to set and dry. The bee finger puppets have a little weight to them, so you really need the hot glue to set before you let go.
The end result is the cutest party decoration! It really looks like the bees are buzzing around the lanterns, looking for nectar. They were the perfect addition to my What Will It Bee?
