Begin by taking a doily and placing it into the embroidery hoop.
Place the larger part of the hoop over the doily and begin to tighten.
After the doily is stretched tightly across the hoop, trim the edges of the doily using scissors. Now you are ready to add some color.
Begin by tying on fabric scraps. I found that lightweight knit fabrics work well because they curl a little. Just tie these onto the end of the dreamcatcher where the screw is.
For the next style of dreamcatcher use lace fabric as the base. Lay the wooden hoop onto the fabric and tighten the embroidery hoop so the fabric is secure.
After, the lace is tightened, trim the lace as close as you can to the hoop. Add a few ribbons, fabric scraps and feathers to complete the look.

First, tie a string from one end of the embroidery hoop to the other, knotting it as you go.
Add a few beads of various styles onto your string as you are making more criss-cross sections. Just slide them onto the string and knot in place.
Attach some fabric scraps and feathers to the bottom of the dreamcatcher.
