As a passionate crafter and painter, I feel confident when I say that an apron is an Art Class 101 essential. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way through paint stains and glue splatters. While a basic canvas apron will do the job, a cute canvas apron is much more fun for a bridal shower! With a basic stencil and no sewing skills whatsoever this cute apron upgrade is super easy and something you can either do yourself or give your guests to do as a bridal shower activity. You'll find the simple how-to below.
First, remove the film from the back of the Hallmark™ Adhesive Stencils So Happy Design. Press the stencil down in place onto the pocket of an Adult's DIY Canvas Apron. Using a foam brush dab pink paint over the stencil until completely covered. Wait until dry and then carefully remove the stencil. I love the painted look for this theme. Alternatively you can use fabric markers for a more detailed look.
Next, personalize each apron with the guests name or position in the bridal party.
Either use fabric markers, an alphabet stencil, iron-on letters or cut from iron-on vinyl and apply to the apron.
Next, glue a Touch of Teal Felt Flower to the top corner of each apron. For the bride's apron glue on a larger Playful Pink Felt Flower with leaves to differentiate it from the other aprons.
Then, glue the remaining Touch of Teal Felt Flowers to the top of a removable wall hook or clothespin.
Adhere the hook to the wall and hang the aprons up for guests. The hooks can be removed later without damaging the wall.
Next, tie a set of Plaid® Brown Nylon Paint Brushes together with pink ribbon.
Then place the brushes in the front pocket of the apron ready for the guests to use at the Bridal Shower.
