Planning a vintage, shabby chic or rustic wedding? This Burlap Bouquet Idea will make a wonderful addition to your wedding reception tables. We just made one flower per bouquet but can you imagine how much texture these burlap flowers will add to your bridal or bridesmaid bouquets? Talk about dreamy and oh-so-chic! Just a few supplies will make a whole batch of beautiful burlap flowers. What you'll need:- Burlap
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Paper Straws or Wood Dowels
- Twine
- Crystal Corsage Pins
- Scissors
- Mason Jar
- Large Wood Slice
- Wildflowers
Step 1: Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut a piece of burlap around 9" x 10". For the best results, try to cut the burlap in between the vertical fibers. Step 2: Use a glue gun to add a line of glue to the bottom 4-5 strands of string on all ends of the burlap. This will ensure that you do not unravel too much of the burlap. Step 3: Begin pulling the horizontal threads from the burlap. Pull the threads until you have met the other side of the glued corner. Step 4: Fold the burlap in half so that the pulled threads create a loop and glue into place. Step 5: Wrap a paper straw or wooden dowel with twine, gluing the twine in place as you wrap. Step 6: Glue the wrapped straw or dowel to the bottom of the folded burlap strip. Glue and wrap the burlap around the top of the dowel. Step 7: Fluff the burlap and glue three crystal floral pins into the middle of the flower. Add the flower into a mason jar of wildflowers placed on top of a large wood slice or add a few of these burlap flowers to your bridal bouquet.
