To transfer the words and images to the DIY Wood Plank Sign, rub the back of the printout with a pencil. Tape the printouts to the sign and use a ballpoint pen to trace the printed images. Remove the printable to see the transferred lines on the wood.
Paint the words and images with acrylic paint and a flat bristled paint brush. Use a paint marker to create the cactus needles.
Die-cut cactus shapes using green and bright colored cardstock and a die cutting machine. Cut the die-cut cactus from the flowerpot and glue the green cactus to the bright colored flower pots. Use adhesive foam to adhere the paper cactus to the wood sign. You can always skip this step if you do not own a die cutting machine, but I think that the paper cactus give the otherwise flat sign some dimension.
