Every kid wants to feel like a superhero, and now they can with this fun and easy DIY Captain America Shield party favor! When we hosted an epic superhero-themed soiree to celebrate the upcoming release of the newest Marvel Avengers movie, we knew we wanted to have a creative craft that would have all of our tiny superheroes ready for battle! This heroic craft can be made at home with a few supplies and our easy-to-follow tutorial.
Get started crafting your superhero shield by gathering up White Acrylic Paint, a paintbrush and a DIY Star. Give your star 2 coats of acrylic paint.
Next, grab a piece of blue paper from the scrapbook paper pack and lay the Frisbee on top in an upside down position. Using a pencil and a gentle hand, trace the inner ridge of the Frisbee to create the perfect sized circle.
Flip the shield back over so the bottom is facing up. Cut a piece of blue and white striped ribbon that matches the diameter of the Frisbee plus 2 extra inches.
Using a line of hot glue, adhere the blue and white striped ribbon to one side of the back of the shield.
Now adhere the other side of the blue and white striped ribbon with a bit of slack so your little hero's arm can slide through without being too tight.
Lastly, display your superhero shield as gear for your little heroes at your Avengers Superhero Party!
Our little heroes loved using their imagination to play with their shields!
