The carousel is still my favorite ride at the carnival, even as an adult. I always loved the intricate details on each individual horse, the gold antique machinery and even waiting in line watching as other riders moved up and down on this magical ride. One of the most classic pieces of imagery when we think about waiting in line to hop on our favorite ride is the look of a vintage ticket booth! We wanted to incorporate these timeless pieces into our Carousel Baby Shower by creating a unique addition to our sweets buffet. Be sure to download the Free Ticket Sign Printable here!
Start creating your custom ticket booth dessert display by gathering up three wood crates. Spray paint each crate a soft blue and allow them to dry completely.
Use a bit of liquid nails to secure the crates to one another to create the base of the ticket booth and allow it to dry.
Wrap the two wooden dowels in gold glitter contact paper. Once the dowels are covered, adhere them to the front left and right corner of the crates using liquid nails.
Once the dowels are covered, adhere them to the front left and right corner of the crates using liquid nails.
Once dry, adhere the slats together like so using more liquid nails to form the top portion of the ticket booth.
Adhere the slats to the top of the dowels using liquid nails. This will create the sign portion of your ticket booth.
Remove a circular pennant from the carousel baby shower banner and adhere it to the center of the base of the ticket booth.
Add two satin ribbon bows to the top right and left corners of the base of the ticket booth.
Trim a carousel treat bag and adhere it to the top of the base of the ticket booth.
Using our free printable template, or a cricut machine, cut out the word "tickets" using the gold glitter contact paper and place the letters on the wood slat sign portion of the ticket booth. Download the Free Ticket Sign Printable here!
