We crafted these charming ornaments as favors for guests at our recent Cozy Christmas Dinner Party, but they would also make fabulous teacher and neighbor gifts. You can even add them to the top of a present as a fun favor tag. The best part is that these chalkboard ornaments can be personalized for each recipient!
Start your DIY ornament by painting the center of the wood slice in chalkboard paint using a foam brush from the Paintbrush Super Value Pack and allow it to fully dry (it only took ours about 5 minutes).
Now that the paint is fully dry, cut off a 4-6 inch length of the Red Ribbon and secure it to the back of the wood slice with a bit of hot glue.
Now begin to add on the decorative pieces of your ornament. Start by layering on the pine greens, followed by a Jumbo Jingle Bell.
Finally, grab the chalk marker and personalize your ornament with a name, phrase or even a drawing. You now have an adorable custom gift to give to friends, family, teachers and neighbors – or simply make one for yourself and enjoy it all season long on your tree!
