Yarn can be used to create wedding decor that is both stylish and cost-effective. This yarn & hoop backdrop is inspired by the eye-catching color block trend.
I love the bold fall colors contrasted with the softer blush and gray hues as a statement piece for my Fall Color Blocked Wedding. Not only that, but the bride is able to take the hoop home and use as decor after the wedding is over.
First, use floral wire to create smaller diagonal sections across the Wire Wreath Frame. Tie each end of the wire to the frame.
Next, wrap Bernat Baby Sport Big Ball Baby Green around the frame and wire to create a block of color.
Note: Either leave the Wire Wreath Frame it's original dark green color or spray paint it gold (as I did). Both options work for this color palette.
Next, create larger blocks of color by wrapping Bernat Baby Sport Big Ball Baby Grey and burgundy yarn from one side of the frame to the other. Fan out at one end to create a wider angle.
Next, wrap a softer blush yarn across the top of the other colors.
Use fishing line to tie the Gold Calligraphy Love Sign to the frame, across the top of the yarn.
Use floral wire to attach dahlias and Faux Eucalyptus Stems to Medium Polyester Palm Leaves.Then using the wire attach this bouquet to the bottom left corner of the hoop.
Finally, use finishing wire to hang the hoop up from a wall hook.
