These DIY Christmas Cones add dimension and sophistication to holiday decor with their different heights and textures. They are the perfect craft to complete on a chilly fall day.
To make the DIY Wood Craft Stick Cone Tree, paint a DIY Medium Foam Cone in a natural light tan color. This will help disguise the cone if it isn’t completely covered by craft sticks.
Use scissors to carefully cut Large Natural Wood Craft Sticks and regular Wooden Craft Sticks in varying lengths.
Starting at the bottom of the painted foam cone, use a glue gun to adhere a layer of the large cut craft sticks. Continue gluing the craft sticks up the cone using the regular size sticks to fill in small gaps.
Glue 4-5 of the large DIY Unfinished Wood Stars on top of each other to create one thick star. Glue the star to the top of the cone.
To create the DIY Twine Wrapped Cone Tree, use acrylic paint and a sponge paintbrush to paint a DIY Large Foam Cone in a natural light tan color. This will help disguise the cone if the twine does not completely cover it.
Wrap the cone with Natural Jute Cording adding a few drops of glue here and there around the cone to hold the twine in place. Embellish the jute wrapped cone with Acrylic Pearl Gems and small DIY Unfinished Wood Stars. Top the tree with layered large wood stars. You can also create different trees by using different things to wrap the tree in like yarn for example. Just be sure to paint the cone the same color as your yarn so the cone doesn’t show through.
Making the pearl tree is as simple as glueing different sized Faux Pearl Craft Beads onto a DIY Small Foam Cone. Hot glue the small beads from the Celebration Pearl Bead Assortment to fill in the gaps and to add a touch of color.
After all of your trees have fully dried, place them on your mantel to add a stunning Christmas tree accent.
