I loved the idea of adding an interactive game element to our I Scream and Candy Shop Trunk or Treat Halloween display. It was important to me that children of all ages be able to enjoy the game. For that reason I decided on an I Scream Creepy Cone Ring Toss game. This homemade ring toss game was such a blast! As a prize for ringing a creepy cone, our little trick or treaters received an Ice Cream Cone Shooter. These were a huge hit—no pun intended! Is it a trick or a treat? You decide! But there is no debating on the fun factor of this Halloween ring toss game!
Start by blending equal parts brown and white acrylic paint to create a tan shade. Then paint all 5 Orange Traffic Cones tan. Allow them to fully dry.
Next, paint vertical and horizontal lines around the cones using only brown acrylic paint. This will give the illusion of the waffle texture of the ice cream cone. Allow the paint to fully dry.
Hot glue all 5 cones onto the Stained Wood Sign. Place them in all 4 corners and one in the center of the sign.
Next, carefully spray expanding spray foam around the base of each cone. This will give the illusion of splattered ice cream as well as hold the cones securely in place. Allow the foam to dry.
Now it's time to paint the ice cream! Using acrylic paint, paint the foam around each cone any color of your choice. Depending on the color and shade you would like, you may have to blend white with the color to create a softer pastel shade. Allow all paint to fully dry.
While the paint is drying, make the rings for the game. Start by cutting pieces of Natural Cording about 12 inches long. Tie the ends together in a knot and attach a Spider Ring.
Now it's time to decorate your I Scream Creepy Cone Ring Toss game! Make it extra creepy with lots of Stretchable Spider Webs and Just Buggy Bugs. Place the ring toss game board in front of your I Scream and Candy Shop Trunk or Treat display and watch all the kids have fun ringing creepy cones!
