Slime is the latest and greatest concoction in our house! Our kids simply love creating this ooey and gooey mixture for hours and hours of fun and creativity. For our recent Girly Emoji Birthday Party we wanted to whip up a fun and fluffy version of everyone's favorite slime! With an ultra fluffy texture, iridescent glitter and the cutest slime container there ever was, you and your kids can get busy whipping up a batch of this slime with everyday household supplies!
Start creating a batch of slime by adding 2/3 cup of Elmer's Washable School Glue to a bowl. (Don't worry, your bowl will rinse clean after!)
Next, add roughly 2-3 cups of shaving cream to the Elmer's Glue.
Now add 1.5 tablespoons of contact lens solution to the glue and shaving cream mixture.
Mix in 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the concoction.
Add 1/4 cup of water to the bowl.
We wanted to add a fun and sparkly element to our slime so we added about 1/4-1/2 cup of iridescent glitter to our slime mixture.
The last ingredient for this fluffy slime recipe is food coloring! Select your favorite color(s) and add a few drops. We opted for red food coloring so our fluffy slime would be pink!
Using your hands, start mixing up the slime mixture. It will be very sticky and wet at first, don't worry, it will stiffen up as your continue to knead it.
After about 2 minutes of kneading you will end up with a big fluffy ball of pink, glittering slime!
Now that your slime is complete, it time to make a super fun emoji themed container to keep your slime fresh! Start by spray painting the lid of a short jar in a bright yellow color.
Once the paint is dry, use a bit of hot glue to secure two heart gemstones to the top of the lid to serve as emoji heart eyes.
Using a black Sharpie Marker, add a smile underneath the gemstone heart eyes.
Using a pair of scissors, trim an emoji from the emoji tablecloth roll and use a bit of double stick tape to secure it to the front of the jar.
Put your pink, glittering, fluffy slime in your emoji themed slime jar to keep it fresh for hours of emoji fun!
Display your emoji slime in the emoji themed jars and hand them out as a fun party favor at your Emoji Birthday Party!
