Bring a bit of colorful Easter charm to your mantel or home decor with easy DIY Farmhouse Speckled Easter Egg Garland. This beautiful and vibrant garland is made with plastic Easter eggs and a lovely Easter addition to your home decor.
Open all of the plastic Easter eggs and begin painting them with your base paint colors. Let the paint dry and then paint a second coat on the eggs.
Use a stiff paint brush and start splattering brown paint randomly on the eggs. Make sure you don't get too much paint on your paint brush, or you will end up with large spatters instead of small speckles. Repeat this same step with the gold and white paint, adding more texture and color to your eggs.
Once the paint is dry, close up all of your Easter eggs. Use a 5/64 drill bit to drill small holes in both the bottom and top of the egg.
Once all of your holes have been drilled, open your eggs back up and thread the twine from the bottom, through the middle and back out the top.
Close the egg back up and continuing stringing all of your eggs on the twine, alternating colors and size.
Spruce up your home and hang your new speckled Easter egg garland.
