The first thing I do each fall is put a fresh new wreath on my front door. This red and green apple wreath is perfect for welcoming in the fall season, and the best part is that it doesn't require using real apples. No one will ever guess that you actually made this gorgeous wreath from apple stress toys! Make a big impact on your front door this fall with this pretty DIY wreath and reuse it year after year.
Wrap a 12" white styrofoam wreath with burlap ribbon, overlapping the ribbon slightly as you go and securing the beginning and end of the burlap ribbon to the wreath with hot glue.
For this wreath I used a combination of red apple stress toys and green apple stress toys. For the 16" wreath you will need two packages of each color of apples. To add the apples to the wreath, stick a toothpick into the bottom and add a dab of hot glue. Poke the apple into the styrofoam wreath and hold a few seconds until the glue is set.
Continue adding the apples all around the wreath in a random order. Alternate the position of the apples by standing some upright and laying some on their side. Don't forget to add apples to the sides of the wreath to give it a very full look. Don't worry if there are some gaps between the apples, you can fill them in with greenery.
Cut faux eucalyptus stems into smaller pieces using wire cutters. (You can also cut pieces from a eucalyptus wreath.) Push each smaller eucalyptus stem into the foam wreath and add a dab of hot glue to hold in place. Continue working around the wreath and adding greenery between any gaps.
