Did you catch all the fun from our Dino-Mite Dino Playdate? The kids had so much fun playing games, reading and just hanging out. Our DIY Feed the Dinosaur Game was a huge hit and I’m excited to be sharing how you can make your own too with just a few tools and supplies.
Using the dinosaur photo prop as a guide; paint a border on the board using Honey Gold paint and paint the center of the board in Rich Chestnut. Let dry.
Using the paper plate as a template, draw a circle in the center of the dino’s mouth.
Drill a hole in the center of the circle large enough to fit the blade of the jig saw.
Using the drilled hole as a starting point, cut out the circle with the jig saw.
Using a rotary tool or sand paper, sand the rough edges of the circle.
To make the frame, cut four 24″ pieces (two for the frame and two for legs) and two 36″ pieces from the 2 x 2 x 8’s using the jig saw.
Using two of the 26″ and the 36″ pieces, layout the frame on the backside of the board.
Flip the board and frame over, keeping the frame lined up with the board and nail the frame to the board using the brad nailer.
Attach the legs by screwing them into the frame using the drill and wood screws.
Adhere the Dinosaur Photo Frame Prop to the board with decoupage using a paint brush and let dry.
