What better way to show your team spirit than by waving your favorite team’s flag? When you’re hosting a party that includes families having something fun to do, this project is a must!
These easy felt pennants are a great craft to do at your Superbowl Party or a great thing for the kids to do while the adults are watching the game! They also make a great addition to your football themed party decor!
Cut a triangle shape out of cardboard that will fit onto your felt square. Next, cut a smaller triangle out of cardstock.
Trace your large triangle onto two pieces of felt and cut them out. Cut a strip of felt in a contrasting color of your choice approximately 2 ” wide and the width of your felt triangle. Glue your smaller card stock triangle to one side of your felt triangle, and hot glue the other felt piece on top. Next, glue one of your dowels to the center of your felt strip about half way up, this will ensure that your flag stays upright and doesn’t droop.
Glue your strip of felt around the widest end of your pennant. This gives a nice finished look to the edge of your flag.
At this point, you can leave your pennants as they are OR you can add craft or fabric paint and jewels to them. I decided to cut out felt pieces and glue them on.
However you choose to decorate these adorable flags, I am sure team spirit will be flying high at your next Football or Super Bowl themed party!
