Keep the party going after guest have gone home with this DIY first birthday balloon wreath tutorial. Customize your wreath to fit any party theme.

Get a ring or hula hoop. Spray paint your ring to match your party theme colors. Make sure the paint is the kind that will stick to plastic.

Inflate balloons to various sizes leaving a good “tail” after tying off.

Tie two balloons together.

Wrap and twist the two balloons around the ring.

Continue wrapping and twisting to create a bunch. Go as far up one side as you desire.

Repeat the balloon tying on the other side of the hoop.

Cut out letters from gold glitter cardstock or simply use the 1st Birthday Gold Glitter Garland. String cut out letters together with baker’s twine. I punched out two holes at the top of each letter to make stringing the letters easier.

Attach letters to hoop and tie off. Add pom-poms to the back of the hoop with hot glue.

I added llama mask (from pin the tail on the llama game) for added charm. Hang your new wreath on the wall or door and enjoy for as long as you desire.
