We are always looking to create special DIY details to add to our party or wedding table and especially love those DIY projects that add a wow factor to our tables. That's why this DIY Floral Hoop Backdrop was the perfect addition to our Plum Wedding Tablescape. We were amazed that a simple children's toy hoop could be transformed into a beautiful piece of wedding decor just by simply adding a coat of paint, beautiful boxwood garlands and a gorgeous array of faux flowers! Follow these few simple steps to create your own gorgeous backdrop!
Begin by spray painting the Obstacle Course Rings in a gold or champagne color. This makes any part of the hoop that can still be seen through the Boxwood Garland a pretty, coordinating color. Allow the ring to dry.
Take one of the three Boxwood Garlands and begin wrapping it around the painted Ring. The Garland is wired, making it easy to twist and turn around the Ring. Continue wrapping the Boxwood Garland until the Ring is fully covered.
Take a stem of the Faux Wisteria Floral Set and slide it inbetween the coiled Boxwood Garland. We placed ours on the side of the Ring so the flowers would drape nicely.
Take an array of flowers in varying purple and mauve tones and slide them into the coils of the garland. If the stems are not long enough or if the flowers will not stay in place, simply add a bit of Hot Glue to secure them.
Lastly, loop a piece of Purple Sheer Ribbon around the rop of the wreath and tie it to the top bar of your Backdrop Stand. Repeat steps 1-5 with two other hoops and you will have a gorgeous floral hoop backdrop setting a romantic scene for your event!
