Turn an inexpensive plastic tray into a darling serving or decor piece using festive Fourth of July fabric and Mod Podge®! Use navy, red and American flag bandannas to create these serving trays for your holiday barbecue. They are not food safe.

Brush a thin layer of matte Mod Podge® to the top of your plastic tray.

Center your bandanna on the top of your tray and smooth over the tray with your fingers. We used a variety of bandannas such as flag print, blue and red. Push out any air bubbles with slight pressure.

I found when working with these bandannas on the plastic trays, it was best to brush a thin layer on top of the fabric as well.

Brush a thin layer on the underside edges of the bandanna along with corners to secure them.

After Mod Podge® has completely dried, trim the bandanna along the edge of the tray with sharp scissors.

Finally, brush a very thin layer of Mod Podge® to the top of the tray and let it dry completely.
