This DIY party favor is so adorable, we wanted one for ourselves! We created this oh-so-cute DIY Fox Ear Headband Party Favor for our Lil Fox First Birthday Party, and with a few simple supplies and just a couple of minutes, you can create this darling headband for your own upcoming event – or just for a fun dress up option!
Start by folding the orange piece of felt in half (from the Gigantic Fantastic Felt Sheets pack). Cut a simple ear shape on the folded side. Remember, there is no “right” shape, so just have fun! Repeat so that you have two ears for your headband.
Repeat step one by folding a white piece of felt in half (from the Gigantic Fantastic Felt Sheets pack) and cut a slightly smaller ear shape. You will only need one of these.
Unfold your freshly cut piece of white felt and snip it in half at the center portion where each shape connects to the other. This will leave you with two white ear shapes.
Using a dab of hot glue, adhere the small white felt pieces to the center of the larger orange felt pieces to create the look of ears.
Flip your felt ears over and align your ears so that they can fold around the black headband.
Using hot glue, adhere the tips of the ears to one another. We also added a bit of hot glue to the inside of the black headband so that the ears wouldn’t slide out of place.
Place a Lil Fox Charm Bracelet onto a Lil Fox Dinner Plate, and using a pair of scissors, snip the elastic band holding the bracelet together.
Separate your charms and open up the metal clasps from each one and place them to the side.
Using a bit of hot glue, start securing the charms to the black headband, between the two ears.
Gather the metal flower beads from the bracelet and hot glue one between each charm, as shown.
Display as party favors and enjoy! They will be enjoyed for years to come as a fun dress-up accessory!
