I am a believer in the art of giving a pretty gift. Make DIY button gift tags that look like fruit for this adorable DIY gift wrap idea.
Using acrylic paint in each of your fruit colors, paint various shapes onto chipboard or the paper of your choice.
Once the paint has dried, cut out your gift tags. Mine were roughly 3″ x 2″ and I added a point to the top for extra detail.
Sort your buttons into basic color groups. For this project, I used yellows, pinks, reds and greens as my main colors.
Tip: I found it easiest to draw on my stem with a black sharpie before adding buttons. Using a hot glue gun, start adding buttons to form each of your fruit’s shape! I made a yellow lemon, a pink strawberry, red cherries and a green lime.
Using simple to construct scalloped boxes, I added coordinating ribbon colors to each of my fruit tags. For very minimal effort, these button gift tags really add an extra pop of color and whimsy to any gift!
