Home for the holidays is such a wonderful place to be – especially when you're surrounded by the cutest Christmas gnomes around! This DIY Christmas sign features adorable gnomes and a quaint woodland village that give your home a cozy Christmas vibe that gnome one can resist!
Paint the Winter Village Christmas Ornaments and Color Your Own Christmas Gnome Ornaments using acrylic paint and a flat-bristled paintbrush. Allow time for the paint to dry.
Now it's time to paint the wood beads. To make it easy, simply use a tiny drop of hot glue to lightly secure each wood bead to a bamboo skewer.
Paint the beads with a flat-bristled paintbrush and acrylic paint. Stand them up in a tall vase or cup to dry.
Download, print and cut out the 'Gnome for the Holidays' template. You can download the 'Gnome for the Holidays' template here. Rub a pencil on the back of the template.
Use washi tape to place the template onto a long wood sign. Place the wood houses and gnomes onto the sign in a pleasing arrangement. Remember to double check that the word placement looks good, too! Use a ballpoint pen to trace the printable. This will transfer the words onto your project.
Remove the paper template to reveal the transferred image underneath. Fill in the letters with a black Sharpie® Marker.
Use a hot glue gun to adhere the gnome and house ornaments to the wood sign.
Remove the painted beads from the bamboo skewer. Thread the beads onto a length of cording and then hot glue the beaded garland onto the sign. Embellish the houses with mini wreaths.
Display your Christmas gnome sign on a mantle or shelf among your other Christmas gnome décor ideas but be warned! Everyone will want one of these adorable signs for their own homes!
