Style a uniquely stunning place card that not only looks fabulous but holds a dainty treat to start your citrus-themed event off the right way! We created this DIY place card using a few simple crafting supplies and some delicious dried grapefruit that allows the soft yet elegant feel of our Grapefruit Inspired Wedding to shine through.
Preheat the oven to 200º. Cut 1 grapefruit into thin slices and then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 2-3 hours or until the grapefruit is completely dehydrated.
Add a bit of Mod Podge® onto whatever part of the grapefruit slice you would like gold and then place small pieces of gold foil on top of the Mod Podge®. Brush away any excess foil.
Repeat the Mod Podge® and gold foil process onto a single leaf from the silver dollar eucalyptus garland.
Then using either a cutting machine and cream adhesive vinyl or a white chalk marker, label the eucalyptus leaf with your guests' name.
Add a gilded grapefruit slice to a white elegant dessert plate with rose gold edging and slide the stem of the eucalyptus leaf under the plate. Place a clear, mini deep square dish on top of the grapefruit and fill with your choice of appetizer or amuse bouche!
